It’s spring cleanup time! Join FRAA for the 6th Annual Farmington River Cleanup on Saturday, April 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
This annual cleanup has become one of FRAA’s most important events, bringing anglers, members, and friends of the river together to give back to the Farmington and help protect the fishery we all enjoy.
Check-in
Check-in begins at 9:00 a.m. at Ovation Pool, 37 Greenwoods Rd, New Hartford, CT 06057.
Everyone participating in the cleanup must check in at the registration table before heading out. Individuals and teams will receive garbage bags, gloves, and maps showing river access points and areas that need particular attention.
What to bring
Trucks and trailers are especially helpful for collecting larger items. Participants are also encouraged to bring waders or boots if they plan to work along the riverbank or in wet areas.
Cleanup roundup
We’ll meet back at 12:30 p.m. for the roundup, with plenty of prizes as a thank-you to everyone who gives their time and effort to the river.
